Stans & Sofia is an artistic collective formed by Stans Vrijsen (°1995, BE) and Sofia Boubolis (°1981, BE). Working between material imitation and speculative research, they use painting, drawing, installation, and archival fragments to explore the relationship between matter and memory. During their Off the Grid residency at Cas-co, they investigated the reserves of Museum M and the archives of KADOC, focusing on overlooked or undocumented objects. Their talk will provide an overview of their research period in Leuven, and coincide with the opening of their presentation at Cas-co.
