Dagmar Bosma (b. 1994, uses they/them and he/him pronouns interchangeably) is an artist, writer, and gleaner, living in Amsterdam. In his installations and sculptural work he examines trans*formative material processes, often through the lens of gender.
At the invitation of Cas-co, Dagmar met with several organisations and communities advocating for improved gender health care and LGBTQIA+ rights in Leuven. These conversations informed the design of a new flag for Cas-co's monumental flagpole.
Dagmar studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and visual art at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. He previously exhibited, among others, at Hotel Maria Kapel (Hoorn), Het Noordbrabants Museum (Den Bosch), and Manifold Books (Amsterdam), and has published essays on platforms such as Metropolis M, Mister Motley, and Tubelight.
The artist talk takes place at Cas-co on Thursday, November 12 at 7:00 PM, from 8:00 PM we will take a short walk to the nearby flagpole at Brede School Stroom, where Dagmar will inaugurate and hoist their flag.

The flag project:
Off the Grid, the presentation platform of Cas-co, and 019 are co-programming a flagpole on the playground of Brede School Stroom in Leuven. This 20-meter pole forms a permanent exhibition space in the public space: every year, four flags of 36 to 54m² are designed by artists to connect with the Leuven’s scene or the Cas-community. The project ties in with the rapidly changing environment of the Vaartkom with all its industrial heritage and new construction projects.
